  • Functional fitness is an evidence-based method for growing not only strength, but also stability and range of motion in the movements patterns our bodies are built for. Unlike many current fitness trends and competitive lifting, where injuries are common, functional fitness puts injury prevention first and is equally beneficial for both athletes and non-athletes.

  • Striking skills and principles including combinations of punches, kicks, knees, and elbows, footwork, defense, and endurance (striking is a great cardio workout), drawn primarily from the sports of boxing and Muay Thai kickboxing.

Kickbox Kickstart

Increase confidence and fitness, begin your journey to someday competing in a combat sport, or just find out how much fun it can be to hit something! Kickbox Kickstart is geared toward kickboxing beginners who want to lay a solid foundation in real striking technique.

While typical kickboxing fitness programs are too often taught without legitimate background in martial arts technique, Empowered Movement’s martial arts programs are different. Kickboxing students work with a qualified trainer to develop a foundation in solid striking form, punching and kicking power, footwork, cardiovascular endurance, and mental strength.

Offered to individual clients for one-time or ongoing lessons, and to private groups and organizations as a 90 minute seminar. Ideal for individual fitness clients and group teambuilding.
